To record for submission to the Life-PlayTM Podcast, (one or) both players should be playing using Skype.
Playing over Skype: Skype is a free computer application/service to make internet phone calls between Skype users (free) and also for Skype-to-Phone calling (not free). For Skype-to-Phone calling you need to buy Skype minutes, which are luckily inexpensive ($1/hour within the USA). You also need a headset that hooks into your computer (PC or MAC).
Recording your Play: The benefit of Skype is that your session can be recorded by using Pamela (for PCs) or Call Recorder (for MACs). Both can be downloaded within Skype itself. In the case of Pamela, the free version only allows fifteen minute calls, so you must be aware of the time when playing and then call back every fifteen minutes. If you have a PC, we suggest buying the $20 pro-version of Pamela, since it allows unlimited recording time. (We have not extensively tested the MAC equivalent, so please share your Call Recorder experience with us!)
When you begin recording, both players should verbally confirm that it is okay for their voice to be recorded.
