Life-Play grew from the energies and vision of Group Creativity Projects, collaborators connected by their friendship with David Shepherd. David has uncorked the bottle on group creativity! And once you invite and allow, in a safe setting, people to express themselves, the amount of creativity that flows, the diversity of processes that come about and the final products is astounding. David Shepherd spent most of his life inventing improv formats such as COMPASS cabaret in Chicago, which was replicated 1000 times world wide. From New York his Improv Olympix was carried to 300 Canadian high schools. MOVIExperience brought him to Massachusetts, where he now develops Life-Play. Carman Dewees wandered Asia and pestered people for public radio. He lives in Northampton, Mass and is a web designer. Carman designed the Life-PlayTM website, started the podcast and edited the Handbook.

Chris Britt studied theatre and film at Northwestern University, trained at the Second City Conservatory and worked for the political satirist, Jimmy Tingle. He is working on a film about Alan Watts, an interpreter of Asian philosophies for Western audiences. Chris lives in Marin County, CA.

Michael Golding is a teacher, writer, director and life-long improviser. He currently teaches improvisation to at-risk teens in Los Angeles. Michael was recently given the title “Canadian Improv Games Ambassador to the U.S.A.”

Saranya “Aey” Senaves owns a small bookshop in Nongkhai Thailand, on the Mekong River, a border town to Vientiane, Laos. She enjoys photography, gardening and bird watching.

Connie Michener is a writer, voice-over artist, a stand-up comedian and illustrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Design and is a graduate of ImprovBoston. Connie created the Life-PlayTM logo and lives outside of Boston.

Scot Coar is a marriage and family therapist and recording producer/engineer. He lives in western Massachusetts.

Aimee Swift graduated from Smith College in 1991 with a B.A. in Art History. She is currently working on a novel for children. Aimee lives in Northampton, MA with her Standard Poodle, Boca, and blogs about her writing life.

Neil Alers is a licensed mental health counselor. In 2009, he returned to New York from New Mexico.

Deidre Muccio – Lives in Northampton Massachusetts and works as a massage therapist.
